Visit the Khelcom Museum
Trip to the Khelcom Museum in Saly on March 10th for CE2, CM1 and CM2 students
and on March 12th for the Grande Section, CP and CE1 classes
It was a first for many children at the Avenir Bilingual School:
The visit to the Khelcom Museum, where they were able to wander both outside and inside the galleries,
guided by Richard Cousinard from the MEMORIES AFRICAINES gallery in Saly.
Mr. Diop's highly eclectic collection, belonging to a discerning art collector, ranges from ancient art with
2,000-year-old terracotta statues also take us on a journey through time.
The students were delighted by the contemporary works of Arman.
The temporary exhibition of photographs by Matar Ndour, a Senegalese artist, particularly impressed them!!!
A huge thank you to our host Richard, who skillfully captivated the children with themes tailored to each age group, culminating in the discovery of some unique artworks that will be further explored in class. "A fun and age-appropriate visit," according to their teachers, and an invaluable experience for introducing schoolchildren to art.
