100 days of school
First and second grade students have been performing a numeracy ritual every day since the beginning of the school year.
called "Every day counts".
With this project, math becomes fun: The principle is to count up to 100 each school day.
This allows us to learn how numbers, and in particular tens and hundreds, are constructed.
When we reached the 100th day of school, on Wednesday, March 11th, it was a special day!
For this day, each child had prepared something at home: A collection of 100 things.
They brought them to the school to present them to the class and then to everyone in the EBA hall.
100 seashells, 100 spaghetti, 100 beads, 100 stickers, 100 dots, 100 peanuts,
100 buttons, 100 matches, 100 seeds, 100 hearts...
